Behind The Hits: NY Artist Kashmere Dreams Is Turning Real Moments Into Real Motion 🔥

There’s a certain kind of artist you don’t discover all at once.

You hear them…then you hear them again. Then somehow, they’re part of your rotation without you even realizing when it happened.

That’s the space Kashmere Dreams is moving in right now.

Not loud. Not forced. Just real… and spreading.

We sat down for a conversation that doesn’t chase numbers—but doesn’t ignore the motion either. This is Behind The Hits.

🌌 Identity + Presence

There’s something about your music where people don’t just play it… they come back to it.

What do you think you’re giving them that makes it stick like that?

Kashmere Dreams: "I'm going to say my delivery, my energy, and my lyrics..."

You’ve been building quietly, but consistently… like something is forming behind the scenes.

Do you feel that growth while you’re in it, or only when you step back?

Kashmere Dreams: "I'ma say both, but definitely when I take a step back. When I do take a step back, that's probably one of them times where I'm feeling like, man, this shit just ain't working out how it's supposed to. Then I just get like one of them universal reminders, you know, to never stop."

🔥 Music + Emotion

“Set Fire (OTF)” feels like one of those records that found people before it was pushed to them.

When you made that… did it feel different, or did it just come naturally?

Kashmere Dreams: "When I made "Set Fire," nah, it didn't feel different. I was angry. I was mad as hell when I made "Set Fire." I think a lot of the times I'd be recording, I'm angry, so it felt different."

KD: "No, never, I’m not an emo rapper, but I rap for my emotion for sure, so yeah, it’s a therapy for me."

Your music moves heavy through places like Rochester, Syracuse, and Buffalo… it feels like there’s a real connection there.
