Introducing the Listening Experience (LE)

The Listening Experience is your project, your sequence, your sound — mixed into one uninterrupted MP3 that plays exactly the way you intended it. No gaps. No algorithm interruptions. Just a smooth crossfade from one track to the next, press play and walk away.

Here's how it works without getting into the weeds:

You select up to 7 tracks from your Hit Talk releases and mark them for your project. You choose the order. When you're ready, you hit one button and our system gets to work — downloading your audio, sequencing it in the order you set, blending each song into the next with a seamless transition, and packaging everything into a single polished file with your cover art embedded and your artist information tagged.

Your completed Listening Experience is then saved securely in your own dedicated folder on our system. It's yours. Distribute it however you want — send it directly to fans, share it with DJs before a set, drop it in an email to a music supervisor, attach it to a pitch. No middleman, no aggregator, no waiting on a DSP to approve it.

Hit Points: How Access Works

The Listening Experience is a premium feature available to artists on the Astronaut and Ozone Player plans.

Generating your mix costs 5 Hit Points (HP). Hit Points are our internal currency that reward you for being active on the platform — playing music, engaging with the community, and building your profile. Think of it as the platform investing in your output; the more you invest in it, the more it invests in you.

Every release on Hit Talk has its own display page where your album artwork lives, your audio plays, and your streaming links are all in one place. Fans can request a full Listening Experience directly from you through this page, and you decide what you charge for a custom mix of your own songs. Whether it's a personalized fan mix, a sync-ready version for a specific project, or a DJ package — the ask comes to you, and you set the terms.

A Few Things to Know

• 7-track limit per project. We keep it there intentionally. The best projects are focused. Seven tracks is enough to tell a full story, and it keeps your conversion fast and clean.

• Keep your tracks under 7 minutes. Longer tracks add significant processing time and can slow down the system for everyone. We want your LE ready as fast as possible — shorter tracks help us do that.

• Rearrange anytime. You control the sequence on your end. Update the order, swap a track out, rebuild the mix whenever your artistic vision evolves.

• Upload anytime. No aggregators. No DSP wait times. No approval queue. You upload when you're ready and your music is live immediately. Audio files, cover art — all of it can be updated whenever you need, not whenever a platform decides to process it.

• Light normalization on the final mix. The completed Listening Experience goes through an overall volume balance so the listening level stays consistent from track to track. The dynamics of your individual recordings are preserved — we just make sure no track is dramatically louder or quieter than the one before it.
